For more than 30 years, Mountain West Financial has leveraged the latest technologies to empower its team, clients, and referral partners. For its commitment to constantly analyzing and improving its internal processes, Mountain West Financial is the recipient of Total Expert’s 2022 Expy Award for “The Adopter.” 

Mountain West Financial serves multiple audiences, including homebuyers, referral partners, brokers, recruiters, and prospective new team members. While each audience has different needs and processes, the one constant in Mountain West Financial’s communications to all stakeholders is its use of Total Expert to manage its content creation and distribution. 

The firm experienced near-total adoption of Total Expert’s platform, with usage on Mountain West Financial’s Wholesale Mortgage team reaching 93%. The Retail Mortgage team also saw an impressive adoption rate of 88%, for a total combined adoption just north of 90%. The mortgage lender also saw a significant increase in usage over the past year, growing from 6 users and 210 posts in Q1 2021 to 28 users and 1,169 posts in Q1 2022.  

Total Expert serves as the hub in Mountain West Financial’s hub-and-spoke marketing approach, which also deploys platforms including Blend, BombBomb, Facebook, LinkedIn, MeridianLink, Microsoft Office 365, PriceMyLoan, and other platforms. These integrations allow Mountain West Financial to automate communications and send the right message at the right time, resulting in a seamless experience for borrowers and loan officers alike. 

Support for new initiatives 

Mountain West Financial leveraged its deployment of Total Expert to launch a number of new initiatives that have benefited the business: 

  • Marketing Monday Calls – The team now starts its week with a short 15-minute phone call that spotlights one of the platform’s features, and issues a challenge to put it to work during the week. This weekly call was a strong driver behind the adoption of Mountain West Financial’s Total Expert platform. 
  • Broker Power Learning Series – Mountain West Financial developed a series of trainings designed to help improve its brokers’ business and gain a competitive advantage. The team used Total Expert to distribute information about these events. 

The California firm praised Total Expert for its evolving functionality. Mountain West Financial has served as a beta-tester for new features such as Campaign Builder and Email Builder, as well as integrations with software from other partners.
